Events for week of 15 April 2024

Crafty Corner is a group for people who want a place to meet and share their crafting, enjoy a cuppa, good conversation and meet like-minded people.

At the moment most of us are playing a card game called “Bolivia” (an up-graded form of Canasta).

Playing bridge has many advantages. It develops and trains the skills of logic, planning, problem solving, memory and arithmetic. It also provides opportunities for social interactions between like-minded people, often resulting in valuable exchanges of general information, and the formation of friendships that are life-long.

Sue teaches Hatha Yoga. She is IYTA (International Yoga Teachers Association) trained to level 2 (advanced) teaching. Sue is able to modify and/or adapt yoga poses for most of the various body shapes, health and capabilities that come with a + 55 body

Mahjong is a traditional Chinese game, played by four people around a square table.

Chair Yoga makes yoga accessible to almost everyone. It is recommended that on starting a yoga program that you attend regularly and give the exercise several months to achieve the desired outcomes.

This activity is a social one and provides a fun time for our players, with lots of laughter.
