Introduction to Bird Watching

Canberra and its surrounds have an abundance of beautiful birds and if you are interested in
finding out more about our native feathered friends, why not join the Introduction to
Birdwatching group.
Field Trips are held on the 1 st Wednesday of the month and are led by Sandra and/or Lia, who
are both experienced birdwatchers and are members of COG (Canberra Ornithologists Group).
Starting times vary with the seasons, but are always early morning, as birds are most active at
that time of day.  Distances also vary and may be as far as 5kms, but the pace is always slow.
All club members are welcome, and no prior knowledge of birds is required. No fees apply to
this activity, as no expenses are incurred by the Club.
Details about venue and time will be notified in the Weekly Bulletin a week before the date.
Please wear your name badge if possible and bring binoculars, water, hat and sunscreen.
